The clevis has been redesigned from the ground up, with a slotted clamp install method over the previous set screw method. The clevis profile has completely changed, eliminating interference issues when racks get sloppy AND allowing full rack travel now for even more steering resolution.
So what is a double shear tie rod kit and why do you want it?

- Rod ends instead of a ball and socket joint at the inner, means it is stronger and more serviceable.
- More clearance at the spindle since the tie rod body is smaller

- Disconnect the steering for maintenance or a rack swap without messing up the alignment
Double shear tie rod setups are a game changer for a drift car, they make repair and maintenance much easier to see and complete than a factory inner tie rod and extended outer setup. They are without a doubt much stronger than factory tie rods and those little wheel taps with your buddies will no longer take out your inner tie rods. Don't worry though, they arent too strong and eat your rack up. Lastly, setting up spares to make comp time outs or simply not have to re-align your car when something breaks makes all the difference. easily swap out tie rods without having to re-toe the car or guess where the old inner tie rod was after you taco'd it.
